Welcome to my fitness journey — you’re in for one hell of a ride.

My name is Brittany and I’m a 20-something year old living in NYC who still applauds herself when she folds laundry the same night she finally does it. I decided to combine my passion for health and fitness with my love for writing, and now here we are.

Why do I consider fitness a journey? Because I have no end goal. I don’t work out and eat mindfully to see a certain number on the scale; I do it to maintain an active lifestyle and be my best self . Some days I meal prep, some days I sit on my ass with a glass of wine and indulge in the Food Network. I’ve started embracing workouts as a way to strengthen my body and move rather than compensate for a shitty diet (cereal and wine lack nutritional value, I know I’m heartbroken too). But don’t be fooled — I still indulge. I’ve been down the food deprivation road, and let me tell you how miserable that was.

Life is about balance. And while I may topple over trying to master certain yoga poses, I strive for balance in my everyday life. Yes, I love protein smoothies, hearty salads, and big bowls of fruit. But I also love cheesy pizza, ice cream, and big bowls of pasta. My life is all about trying new things — whether it be a Brazilian Butt Lift workout (and laughing my ass off while I dance like a fool in my living room), a new recipe, a new restaurant, or traveling to foreign cities.
